One of my favorite parts of the Bible

"You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless. You are the light of the world--like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your Heavenly Father." Matthew 5:13-16

Pleasing God

"Obviously, I'm not trying to win the approval of people, but of God. If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ's servant." Galatians 1:10 -- We should all remember this! Pleasing the world, our friends, family, or whoever else is not what we should be focusing on. The only person we ever need to please is God. If we are pleasing Him, then He will help us please others in a way that still glorifies Him. And if we can't please others in a way that still serves Him, He may remove those people from our lives in order to introduce us to other believers who will better help us by growing in the faith. God is a loving God :)
